To celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tucano Urbano last year, the iconic Italian brand launched an all-new capsule collection designed to commemorate twenty years of innovation, urban style and constant development. The Milano 1999 collection blends elegance, minimalistic style and modern technology into a collection of apparel and accessory items that strip the brand back to its Italian roots.
This year, Tucano Urbano has added two new products to its capsule collection, demonstrating the same exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail.
DUOMO
New to its MILANO 1999 collection this year, the DUOMO jacket is a mid-length four-season jacket that features a tough Taslan outer shell with a waterproof, windproof and breathable inner membrane. Fully CE-approved, the DUOMO features Tucano Urbano’s Comfort Protection System with shoulder and elbow armour included as standard, as well as a pocket for a back protector. Inside, there’s a removable inner thermal jacket that has polyester thermal padding and an elastic windproof closure on the cuff for protection against cold weather. There’s also a light fabric and polyester mesh lining for warmer days when riders do not need the thermal inner jacket.
For a comfortable fit, the DUOMO features adjustable cuffs and a drawstring waist, whilst the jacket also has handy features such as the emergency hood folded under the collar in case of a downpour, visibility on-demand with fold-out reflective panels on the cuffs, and a host of storage for rider valuables with two internal cargo pockets and a total of six external pockets – four with an external flap to protect the zip from rain.
Available in Military Green and Dark Blue colour options, the DUOMO comes in sizes S-3XL, and has an RRP of £249.99.
MANZONI
Unlike many of the typical motorcycle jackets available on the market today, the MANZONI looks all about style but packs a host of handy features that make it the perfect riding jacket. The MANZONI – an ultra-light two-button blazer – has a padded polyamide dickey that provides protection from the elements whilst on the bike and can be removed to create an extra-smart look when off the bike. With an extremely tough 2.5-layer Taslan polyamide outer shell with a water repellant treatment, the jacket is breathable, windproof and water-resistant to a high water column.
Inside, there’s a soft thermal foam padding with a quilted polyamide lining for a luxurious feel. The front lapel has a magnetic closure to stop flapping when riding, whilst there’s also adjustable cuffs and a host of internal and external pockets for optimal fit and usability.
For extra style, the detachable dickey is reversible for two colour options – either matching the jacket or in a contrasting colour to two different looks. Available in Sand or Dark Blue colour options, the MANZONI comes in S-3XL with RRP £129.99.
